Overview
The project includes the widening of 23km of the M7 Motorway between Richmond Road and the M5 Motorway and the construction of a new interchange to connect to the proposed M12 Motorway. Works included the widening of over 40 bridge structures, several of which were similar in structure type to the Commonwealth Ave Bridges.
The works include management of construction under heavy traffic conditions and the management of a dedicated shared path.
CJC’s Role
CJC worked on a constructability role for the large scale infrastructure project during Strategic, Concept and Design and Construction (D&C) Procurement Phases. This included development of detailed construction and traffic staging, construction program, input into cost estimation and risk register, management of construction SME team and for D&C procurement phase and ongoing collaboration with the designer during the development of the tender reference design.
