Commercial Manager/Principal Quantity Surveyor - Birmingham, UK

As the UK Commercial Lead, you’ll take full responsibility for driving commercial strategy, supporting client-side infrastructure delivery, and setting up efficient processes to support project success. You’ll also play a key role in building and mentoring a local commercial team as the UK business grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cost planning, estimating and commercial support for client-side infrastructure projects

  • Prepare and manage competitive tenders and commercial submissions

  • Work across RIBA Stages 1–4, supporting feasibility, early-stage estimating, and pre-construction activities

As the Project Manager for a large-scale solar farm in regional NSW, you’ll take the lead on delivering one of the state’s key renewable energy projects. You’ll be responsible for coordinating on-site activity, managing project stakeholders, and ensuring safety, quality, and performance outcomes are met from mobilisation through to completion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day project delivery, overseeing contractors, consultants, and site activity

  • Monitor progress against program, budget, and compliance requirements

  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and drive project outcomes

As a Junior Civil Drafter, you’ll support the delivery of civil infrastructure and land development projects across NSW, producing high-quality drawings for roads, subdivisions, and utilities. Based in North Sydney, you’ll work closely with engineers and drafters to contribute to coordinated design outputs and gain hands-on experience across all project stages.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare 2D civil drawings using AutoCAD for roads, earthworks, and utilities

  • Support engineers and senior drafters with mark-ups, QA processes, and file management

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accuracy and design consistency

Step into a key coordination role supporting CJC’s business development efforts across infrastructure and engineering projects. Based in North Sydney, you’ll drive the preparation of high-quality proposals and tenders, working closely with technical teams to translate complex information into clear, client-focused submissions that reflect CJC’s capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end bid processes across infrastructure, engineering, and construction sectors

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop accurate, compelling proposals and presentations

  • Maintain submission quality and consistency while ensuring compliance with client requirements
