CJC Management- Project Energy Connect, SA & NSW

Overview

The high voltage electricity interconnector, collectively known as EnergyConnect, involves the design and construction of high voltage transmission lines from the South Australian border to Wagga Wagga, 710 kilometres in length, major substation construction at Buronga and Dinawan and station upgrades at Wagga Wagga and Red Cliffs.

CJC worked as part of the pre-contracts team to develop civil construction staging and methodology for the project, identify project risk, and formulate risk mitigation measures.

CJC’s Role

CJC supported the development of the remote working strategy, sourcing and transportation of construction water, planning and developing construction access considering permanent and temporary access roads. Additionally, we managed the logistics of materials delivery to work sites, particularly concrete supply. This includes the management of cement, additives and course and fine aggregates, and working on the zoned procurement strategy identifying key suppliers.
