CJC Management - Hunter Power Project

Overview

The Hunter Power Project is a critical state significant infrastructure project and includes the design and construction of a 660MW gas fired power station. The power station comprises of two heavy-duty, open cycle gas turbines. The turbines will be able to operate on natural gas and hydrogen and provide critical firming energy infrastructure for New South Wales.​

The project is valued at $600 million.

CJC’s Role

CJC’s role on the site is to manage the civil and structural design interface with the Principal Contractor UGL and involves ensuring the design of all elements are complementary including the structural supports of the 132VK switch yard, compressed air system, fuel​ oil system, water treatment plant and tanks, fuel oil tanks, fire water system, auxiliary​ transformers, MV and LV cables and ducts.​

Also, detailed site inspections to examine and understand unforeseen clashes or interface issues, construction methodology review and input for each construction stage, and construction advice to support the Contractor and Snowy Hydro to assist delivery.
