Sydney Metro Northwest

Project lifecycle

We offer services to improve business performance by providing expert advice on all phases of a project lifecycle, from initiation to finalisation

Scope

The Sydney Metro Northwest project has delivered eight new railway stations and 4,000 commuter car parking spaces to Sydney’s growing North West suburbs. Trains operate every four minutes in the peak, with at least 15 trains an hour. Sydney Metro Northwest is the first stage of the Sydney Metro and is the first fully-automated metro rail system in Australia. Sydney Metro City & Southwest is the second stage.

CJC role

CJC was engaged by TfNSW specifically to work on the new Skytrain. The Skytrain takes the Sydney Metro above ground for four kilometres, between Kellyville and Rouse Hill, is between 10-13m above ground level and is supported by 112 concrete piers.

CJC’s responsibilities included providing specialist advice on the heavy-lift activities and bridge construction of the Skytrain.
