Inland Rail Grade Separating Road Interfaces

Project lifecycle

We offer services to improve business performance by providing expert advice on all phases of a project lifecycle, from initiation to operation.

Scope

The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) Inland Rail project is the upgrade of the freight rail network from Melbourne to Brisbane via Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland.

As part of the Inland Rail Grade Separation Program, Transport for NSW is currently investigating the grade separation of 22 sites where existing highways interface with Inland Rail. This project covers the concept design and environmental assessment for 6 of the proposed sites.

CJC role

CJC Management led the constructability assessment team for the six Priority 1 proposed grade separated intersections over the future Inland Rail. We also provided advised during the concept design phase, assisting with preferred option selection and progression of concept design development. This included provision of detailed construction staging and programs, and facilitation of constructability and HSiD workshops.
