Scope
Our Airports team was engaged to provide independent advice on the current 5-year Airfield CAPEX Plan. We provided Subject Matter Expert advice on their airfield pavements.
The output of this work will be used as supporting information for Aeronautical Agreement to lock in the Airfield Pavement Capital Works for the next 5 years.
CJC Role
CJC provided external assessment and advice is required for the prioritisation of the Airfield Pavement Re-sheet and Reconstruction Work based on the following information;
- Visual Inspection (assumed to be undertaken during curfew)
- Recent Annual Technical Inspection Reports
- Historical Pavement Repairs (with input from FM)
- Known age of the asphalt surface
- Criticality of the Asset for the Airfield Operation
This will be done based on assessments on current and past condition reports, operational importance, corrective maintenance history and also on a visual condition inspection.
